New construction of the three-form Osterfeld School
A new three-form building for the Osterfeld School in Lünen is currently being constructed on Virchowstraße in Lünen. The project is being realized with the help of Planfred.
An elongated, slightly trapezoidal, two-story building with rounded corners is planned. The new building will unite the elementary school, which previously operated at two separate locations. The existing building from the 1950s located on the site will continue to be operated until the new building is completed.
The new building offers plenty of space for all school participants and ideal conditions for contemporary pedagogy. The teaching areas with the differentiated learning spaces are organized in the western part of the building and are grouped around an open learning area. The eastern, wider part contains the common learning areas and the administration. A two-story forum as a multifunctional area forms the heart of the school. Dining room and music room can be added by means of flexible partition walls. The spacious learning staircase leading to the upper floor invites students to share ideas during breaks or use it as a grandstand during events. Two recessed core areas accommodate the ancillary rooms.
By using Planfred, document exchange among project participants is fast and uncomplicated. This contributes to a speedy and efficient handling of the project.
